How to connect your Kick channel

KickGW reads your Kick chat through the official Kick API. You do not log in, you do not give us your Kick password, and there is nothing to install. Connecting takes about two minutes.

  1. Enter your channel name

    On the home page, type your Kick channel name — the part after kick.com/. For kick.com/yourchannel type yourchannel.

  2. Choose the chat command

    Pick the word your viewers type to enter, for example !join or !gw. It must be one word. Add what you are giving away if you like, then press Start giveaway.

  3. Your chat is connected

    KickGW subscribes to your channel's chat right away. From now on everyone who types the command is added to the list — each Kick account once. Your stream does not have to be live for it to work.

  4. Save your host link

    The giveaway page you land on is the host page. Copy the host link under "Share and stream" and keep it private — it is what lets you pick the winner, reroll and reset. Open it on your phone to run the giveaway away from your PC.

  5. Add the draw to your stream (optional)

    Copy the overlay link from the same panel.

    OBS Studio: Sources, click +, choose Browser, paste the overlay link as URL, set width 1920 and height 1080, press OK. The background is transparent, so only the draw shows on stream.

    Streamlabs: click + next to Sources, choose Browser Source, paste the overlay link, set the same size.

    The winner stays on screen for 20 seconds. Add ?hide=0 to the end of the overlay link to keep it on screen.

  6. Draw the winner

    Tell your chat the command, watch the list fill up, then press Pick winner. Use Reroll if the winner does not answer, and Reset giveaway to start the next round on the same page.

If something does not work

"We could not find that Kick channel"

Check the spelling. Use only the channel name, without spaces. Copy it from your channel address on kick.com if unsure.

Viewers type the command but nobody appears

The command has to be the first word of the message, for example !join or !join please. A message like pls !join does not count. After you press Stop entries or Pick winner, new messages are not added until you reset.

The overlay shows nothing

It only appears when a winner is drawn. Make sure the browser source uses the overlay link (it contains /o/), not the host link, and that the source is visible in your scene.

Do I need to give KickGW access to my account?

No. KickGW only reads the public chat of the channel you enter. It does not post in your chat and does not need your password.

How long does a giveaway stay open?

Until you end it. A giveaway with no activity for 12 hours ends by itself and disconnects from your chat.
